Born on March 29, 1986, and raised in the Marwari family in Hyderabad, Varma is the youngest of three children. His father owns a craft business and allowed his children to watch television programs; Churches were reserved for films, and another hour was spent in a collection of 500 comic books.
Not much is known about his school but the fact that he did school in Hyderabad itself is confirmed from various sources. After completing his postgraduate studies at Hyderabad, he moved to Mumbai to become an actor against his family’s ambitions.

Vijay Varma began his acting career as a theater artist, who continued to work on both Hindi and Telugu films. Vijay’s first acting career was a short film titled ‘Shor’, which became very popular at festivals and won Best Short Film at the MIAAC event, in New York. He then went on to play a young transformation role in the infamous drama ‘Chittagong’ (shot in 2010, released in 2012), which won two national awards.
